A new fringe theatre is to open in a disused shop in Highgate this summer. The 47 seat performance space will be on Archway Road, next door to its sister venue, The Red Hedgehog, which has been open since 2006, and has been using the empty shop for storage.
Founder Clare Fischer says that the theatre is "more or less finished" and that she's planning to put together "a professional ensemble company of 60-80 young actors to do the classics – Chekhov, Ibsen, Acykbourn, everything". It will also be available for hire.
