Chris Addison announces tour

by thisweeknews 11. January 2010 21:22

Comedian Chris Addison has announced a forty date UK tour of his first new stand-up show since 2005's 'Atomicity', which was, as you may recall, Perrier Award (now Edinburgh Comedy Award) nominated. The 'Thick Of It' star says this: "I’m really excited to be going back out on the road. I’ve got a packet of Werther’s Originals in the glovebox, a voucher for 20p off any non-meat Ginsters product purchased at Welcome Break service stations before the end of February, a flask of Bovril and a whole bunch of new jokes and stories. Now if I can just work out how to get this Sat Nav to stop giving instructions in Danish I’ll be all set".

But enough of that. There are three London dates; you can catch him at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 13 February, 14 March, and 4 April. I haven't got the energy to tell you about every other place in the UK he's visiting, so I'll just note some of my favourites. Locations he's calling at include Cambridge, Salford, Glasgow, Kendal, Bolton, Brighton, and Chipping Norton. I should point out that I've never actually been to Chipping Norton, I just like the sound of it.
