BBC Radio will broadcast a season of Chekhov related programmes this month to mark the 150th anniversary of the writer's birth. The season will begin on 19 January with a Radio 4 documentary, 'The House That Chekhov Built', and feature a new production of 'The Seagull', to be broadcast on Radio 3. There will also be a new drama on Woman's hour about Chekhov, whilst Radio 7 will celebrate the playwright by broadcasting archive recordings of his work.
